web | web 2.0 shows it’s cracks
October 27, 2005
“The cycle is so predictable, it’s almost a natural law: Every new internet movement popular enough to generate buzz also generates a backlash.”
web | googlebase
October 26, 2005
base.google.com (down right now). Google’s next product. They really like to pump these out.
Iowa class actio lawsuit against Microsoft
October 25, 2005
A Polk County (Iowa) Class Action Lawsuit is being filed by local business against Microsoft for deals in the past where Microsoft squeezed out its competitors.
Hasn’t this happened before, like 10 years ago? Regardless as a local Iowan I would like to know how to get involved in this .
biz | microsoft launches ad service
October 19, 2005
It was inevitable in Microsoft’s “catch up” game that they would copy Google’s money making engine. Here it is, MSN Advertising. Wow. Another innovative idea from our friends at Microsoft.
web | where are disruptive startups?
October 19, 2005
Richard MacManus blogs about how all the web2.0 startups really just target geeks and that there aren’t any out there with a focus on consumers, dealing with health, finance, etc, etc.
I disagree with this assumption, although it has relevance. The reason geeks are the current niche for web2.0 products are because geeks are in the “innovator/early adopter” market segment for technology related products. “Web 1.0″ was around for a decade (give or take some years) before it became mainstream, but geeks used it far before then.
tech | built to flip
October 19, 2005
the “built to flip” business model of building a business to get bought. And, with getting bought you get a new job… Interesting..
web | pirillo hammers blogspot
October 17, 2005
chris pirillo tells blogger all the things everyone else wishes they could. Now maybe they’ll pay attention with someone like chris harping on them. Blogger really needs to be re-addressed. And this is coming from someone who uses it (and is looking to move away from it as soon as time permits).
web | boycott inform
October 17, 2005
After all the buzz over inform I decided to check it out only to find that it’s “best supported in IE6″, which means, don’t use our website with a real browser. Well, frankly they won’t be getting my traffic if I’m forced to use IE to view it. I would like others to join me as well. I’ll be adding a wiki on getanewbrowser to keep track of sites like this so people know what sites don’t support real browsers.
web | web2.0 entrepreneur bubble
October 17, 2005
why it’s easier to start a web company these days, thanks to Moore’s Law and Open Source. One should also acknowledge the effect web services has had on this boom. But this article outlines the numbers behind the feasibility of starting and/or getting funding your own web 2.0 company

Well, I’ve reported the attack to the gmail team. I found this feature by clicking on “more options –> report phishing”. I had no idea how to report it until I found this feature. Beware of these if they are getting around.
